ASSEMBLY MECHANICS
We are seeking a First Class Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating lathes and milling machines. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for producing precision components while ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. This role requires proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and a commitment to continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience, 5+ years preferred, as a Manual Machinist with strong skills in machining processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex technical documents.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
- Capable of mentoring others, taking on custom or one-off jobs, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
REQUIREMENTS / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Perform precision machining to tight tolerances.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accurate dimensions of finished products.
- Work with advanced materials or complex components
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations.
